Leon’s Random Translator
The translator is not a generator, per se. It takes text as input and returns a much clearer version. It reveals the lines written between the lines, which frequently share little resemblance to the original.
These random generators were originally built in 1997, starting with the Band Name Generator. Most of them are based on a technique of multiple passes of replacing keywords in phrases. They start with a template, then replace keywords with plain text or another keyword phrase. This goes on until only plain words are left. In 2026, they were ported to JavaScript and wrapped in a WordPress plugin.
